In the event of a second person being laid to rest in one site, the existing memorial would likely needed to be removed from the cemetery or churchyard to our workshop. This allows the grave to be opened for the burial to take place and also enables us to review the existing memorial. We keep the memorial safe at our secure premises until it is ready to be re-erected at the gravesite.
Once the memorial is safely in our workshop, a member of our team will contact you to inform you of how much space is available for the additional inscription. Using our years of experience, we will advise you on our recommendation, ensuring the memorial is fixed in line with cemetery rules and regulations.
Following confirmation that you are happy with the proposed works, our skilled craftsmen will engrave the headstone with the proposed inscription. No matter the material, lettering or intricacy of the existing memorial, our expert masons have full capability in carrying out the required work to an excellent standard.
We can carry out additional memorial inscriptions on any headstone, whether we originally fitted it or not.
It is important that a BRAMM registered memorial mason removes your memorial, as it needs to be carefully dismantled and stored securely. All our work is carried out to British Standard BS8415:2018 and we are Registered under the BRAMM scheme.
If you are interested in an additional inscription for your headstone, please fill in in our contact form and we will be happy to contact you to discuss the process in more detail.
We can help guide you through each step of the way to give you the most fitting and lasting memorial for your loved ones. Based in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, but catering for customers across South Wales, our service also includes restoration, renovation and additional inscriptions of existing memorials, and you can rest assured that the work is carried out by a BRAMM accredited member of staff.
